02-Jul 2022 - Coast to Coast Trail (Part 1)
For this part of our hike, we started from Lakeside MRT Station (EW26), we pass through the Jurong lakes parks to reach CP 1 at the Chinese Gardens. After this, we walked through some housing estates to come to the Bukit Batok Nature Park where CP 2 is Located. We then turn onto Upper Bukit Timah road to reach CP3 at Hindhede Drive, this is the entrance point if you were to hike the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.
Â
The actual route for the part after the CP 3 is to turn right onto Jalan Jurong Kechil and then to join back to Dunearn/Bukit Timah Road, but we took a wrong way, we cut through to Dunearn Road from the Rail Corridor. This portion of the rail corridor is always very interesting.
Â
This Dunearn/Bukit Timah Road stretch takes you through some private housing and some well known schools until you reach Adam Road, where you will come to CP 4, Adam Road Food Centre. Lots of nice local food here to try out.
Â
From CP 4, now we head up towards Lornie Road, where we will pass through Central Catchment Nature Reserve where the MacRitchie Reservoir is located.
Â
We ended our hike at Marymount Station (CC16).Â
