The Rail Corridor is a unique and historic green space in Singapore that stretches approximately 24 kilometers from north to south, traversing through various neighborhoods and landscapes. It follows the former railway track of the Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) railway, which used to connect Singapore to Malaysia.

The railway, operational from 1903 to 2011, played a significant role in Singapore's history and served as a vital transport link for both goods and passengers. When the KTM railway ceased operations in 2011, the tracks were removed, and the Rail Corridor was repurposed as a recreational and green space for the public.

Today, the Rail Corridor offers a diverse range of experiences and activities for locals and visitors alike. The trail is popular among nature enthusiasts, joggers, cyclists, and families seeking a leisurely stroll amidst lush greenery and scenic landscapes. It features a mix of natural habitats, including secondary forests, grasslands, and wetlands, providing opportunities for birdwatching and appreciating Singapore's biodiversity.
